DCAWD's 10th Anniversary!!! - Sat 05/03/14 - Summit Pt Kart

Post by ElZorro »

Come on out for Part 1 of the 10th Birthday Celebration - a little karting at Summit Point Kart on Saturday 03MAY.

Summit Point Kart

We're not going to reserve a time, so come on out for the scheduled arrive and drive (noon to 10pm) and race as much as you want.

Make sure you read their website regarding required clothing (shoes). Be prepared to spend alot of time in the sun.

I'll do some checking in to see if camping is an option, comment if you're interested.

Rain date will be 10MAY. We'll only use the rain date if Summit Point Kart is closed. I'll call and confirm they are open a couple hours in advance and post up in the thread. (karting in the rain is AWESOME. seriously.)

Come on out folks!!!!

A shot of Alvin (before they let him graduate to a full size car) racing in the rain on the old kart track (the Shenandoah paddock).

:(, we won't be able to come. Boxerfest is the same day and I think we are going to be working the Subie Girl booth for a bit. The only weekend we are free in May is the 10th. :-/.

Me no good on the camping front now. I have a hockey game the next morning and don't want to wake up extra ass early to make it from out there in WVA.
If anybody wants cot, sleeping, bag, tent, I was all prepared to rough it.

I think Vehicles bestowed his gifts on Eric, he pulled a 61.9 on the last run of the day.

Vehicles acts in mysterious ways.

That said, Eric's driving was spot on.
He was consistent, and his times dropped as the day went on.
