cordless Impact wrenches?

Suggestions? Brands to consider, features? Mainly looking for a way to speed up pulling off and putting back on wheels, maybe some other bits of work here and there.

I got the Milwaukee 2663-22 a couple of years ago for Christmas.

I love it. It is probably way more power than I need, but I figured it will have other uses outside of the car. I just use it to remove bolts. I'm kind of afraid I might strip some threads. When I was deciding, I wanted something powerful enough to remove everything. A lot of the impact wrench advertise in in/lbs, and when you covert that to ft/lbs, it isn't very much.

The thing I liked about the 2663-22 is it came with two LITHIUM batteries as opposed to NiCD battery. The other thing I liked, I can just buy the other tools without batteries from the M18 line of Milwaukee and use the same batteries. Of course, they have other lines with less powerful impact wrenches, depending on your requirements.

Amazon has a 20V DeWalt for $270, an 18V for $230. Both 1/2". They have a bare 1/2" 18V model (no battery) for $87. I've got a couple li-on Dewalt drills so batteries aren't an issue....might pick one up to try it. I've got a Blue-Point air impact wrench and a twin cylinder compressor that's right there but I HATE having to mess with the air hose around the car. LOL.

Actually, I just double checked and it is the 2652, which I guess is an older model (current at that time), but it cames with two batteries. You could easily easily go with an impact driver with just one battery or one with less power and it would be in the mid 200's. Needless to say, I'm happy with my Milwaukee. Dewalt was a second close for me when I was looking though.

I have been using the harbor freight 19.2 volt cordless impact wrench since 2005 My second battery is about dead but the impact is still working fine and it has removed a few wheels/tires in it's time.
Not sure if it is time to upgrade or just try to find a new battery for it again.

I've used Milwaukee, Dewalt and Mikita and liked all of them. I always reccomend go bigger volts than you need. These things are a godsend for stubborn nuts/bolts.

If you've already got the battery, the Dewalt 18v 1/2 Cordless Impact Wrench is on sale at Amazon with a $25 off anything over $100. Total prices comes to $105. I'm not sure how much longer the deal will last, but it's the best price I've seen.

I even have a DeWalt 18v drill and circular saw (with charger and extra batteries) and now look what you have done.
