Well once the new nexus comes out I'll have a phone just laying around.
EDIT: buuuuuut with $100 in parts I think I'd rather just spend the extra money for a Nest that's already assembled and guaranteed to work.

but... i thought it was an impressively ambitious project and another great example of how amazingly great open source software can be.
