NewEgg product link
OK, so I saw the shell shocker deal on NewEgg for a 2X8G 1600MHz RAM set for a good price. Sent over the specs to our tech guy who ordered my new computer and asked if this was compatible with my new system he ordered.
"Probably" he said.
I wrote back "So DIMM or not?". Bad choice of words there, eh? Should have asked 240 or 204 pin...
He replied "no".
I bought it.
Computer gets delivered and it IS a laptop, requiring SO-DIMM (So DIMM), and then the DIMM RAM chips get delivered.
I should have gone and read the purchase order for the computer myself.
NewEgg wants 15% restocking fee plus shipping for return.
All this RAM can be had for $80. Shipping not included.

Yeah, you would need 204 pin SO DIMM chips probably.
These are the long skinny 240 pin sticks for desktops.

if i had a 64 bit setup i'd snag 'em from you. as it stands i'll have to endure my 32 bit gaming rig for a little while longer (the same one i had in springfield).

Wow, I guess you don't spend as much time as you did before with that thing. But then again, the more you wait the more programs will take advantage of the extra bits.
