can somebody bring a code scanner to the meet? I've got to go through emissions sometime in the next 2 months and I want to make sure I'm good to go.

+1 good call. We need to invest in a DCAWD scanner/cleaner.

Julian, please bring my code scanner and give it to Gabe. Lets keep up the pattern: I've owned it for 3 years and it has been in my possession for a total of 2 weeks :)

Ok, I never see you any more on 7100 and then suddenly I'm seeing you all the time :) Waking up late? ;) God knows I'm not getting up any earlier!

LOL The Contour was so bad w/ throwing CELs that Shawn and his fellow owners called them Contour Enthusiast Lights. :D Fortunately, the Protege and Miata have almost no issues in that area.

I used to have one. It lasted 2 years then DEAD. It is currently out being repaired. If someone could let me check/clear my CELs I'd be very grateful.

I sent mine out to be repaired last week. it should be back sometime before March (which is when my emissions is due).

On a side note that damned TMIC has a slight leak somewhere (very high pitched whistle at full boost). It's got to be either the BOV mount or one of the 2 intake ports. If it's the BOV that's easy, if it's the other all ! can say is NOOOOOOOOOO!

I just went out to crank down the BOV bolts and got nearly a full turn on both. My brother in law worked that side and I can only assume he must have been a bit too gentle. I'm hoping that's it, we'll find out later today. Cross your fingers

That was it! Problem Solved!

I'm still not certain I'm going to keep this behemoth. I'm hoping to do some filing and grinding and see if I can minimize the hood contact.

I still have a soft spot for my AVO, it is so well designed and is just so easy to install and remove. But 500 c.i. vs. 700c.i. for the little it cost me. Well, in cash out of pocket. It has killed me in time and effort. Thank God I don't bill by the hour. . . Oh, wait, I do bill by the hour!

I finally took a look at that OBDII scanner and realized that I need a laptop to make it work. guess I should have paid more attention to it when it was handed to me. doesn't do me much good. guess I could drag out my desktop and get a power inverter. yeah, that sounds like a good plan...

if you need a hand Darrin, let me know. I'd love to see you make that monster work.
