A good friend of mine has a band "The Old Glorys" and they're looking for a gig on Monday, March 14. They're a country/indie/blues/americana band and they put on a heck of a good show if I do say so myself. they rock a bit more than the posted tracks might indicate and they're all experienced musicians that are comfortable on stage. they're doing a mini-tour from NYC to Austin for SXSW and wanted to try to get a gig in the area for that Monday night.
Anyone have any friends that do booking or any leads on a place they might be able to play?

austin grill in old town? seems like a good place for country/americana-style tunes.
julian's friend (can't remember his name to save my life) plays there.

Kyle (Jetwagon) and his group "4 on the Floor" have played at the Austin Grill as well as few other local venues.

Yep, Kyle (Jetwagon) as the good Dr pointed out, as well as my friend John Athayde are both in bands that play locally. lol, everyone else has also mentioned all of the venue's I can think of.
IOTA (small venue)
Clarendon Grill (small venue)
Jammin' Java (medium size venue)
JAXX (medium size venue)
If you want, I can pass John's name along by e-mail and see what he can come up with.

LOL I don't think their brand of music fits in with the JAXX crowd. It's mostly a Death/speed/heavy/goth Metal place.
