Gaskets - Is this correct?

Post by HappyIdiot »

Hello everyone. I want to make sure I order all the correct gaskets for a header, UP, DP, and CBE swap.

2x Header to block gaskets
1x Header to UP
1x UP to turbo
1x Turbo to DP
2x DP to CBE (mid pipe and ABE)

Thank you for your help everyone!!!!!

What model DP and CBE are you going to be using?

I would say that the DP to CBE gasket and whatever CBE to CBE gaskets won't be needed - provided your DP and CBE include them. They'll also most likely be a different diameter than the stock 2.5" gaskets.

You're dead on with the two block to mani gaskets, the mani to UP gasket (STRONGLY CONSIDER A GRIMSPEED DOUBLE-THICK), UP to turbo gasket and Turbo to DP gaskets though.

I just assumed that he was running a 3" DP along with his 3" catback, they are all standard gaskets (nothing special/unique), all are 3" flat flanges (for DPtoIP and IPtoAB), and that he didn't have gaskets for all the exhaust components.

It is a Helix catted DP and an SPT CBE. It is 3" all the way with flat flanges. They had gaskets with them, but they looked like they've seen better days.

Yeah, I'm definitely getting the extra thick UP gasket from Grimspeed.
