Bolt size

Post by sirwilliam »

Would anyone know offhand the size of the bolts that connect the axelback and the midpipe? A friend needs to cut the rusty ones off and replace them to swap my exhaust.

Let me know. Thanks.

Note: WRX/STi/FXT are all the same.

14mm bolts... Every AutoZone/TrackAuto etc. carries them. Just look for this:

Yeah that is the Downpipe to the Midpipe hmm.... If I had to guess i'd say 12 or 14mm, 10 seems small for that application and everything else in the car is either 12 or 14 ;)

It's 14mm bolt's down the entire exhaust... so I'm guessing you'd be good with a 14mm. Just curious... why does it matter? If you're replacing the nut/bolt anyway, just get something that fits and that is an 8+ so it won't rust.
