Yep. Noise isn't a concern for me. This is in no way anything close to a daily driver.

Shek finished up his motor rebuild and got his WRX out of the garage. Got the GC and the WRX in the garage ready to start transferring parts. Work should now start moving much faster.

That's the plan. If I let it stall I suspect it'll just sit there gathering dust for the whole summer. I make it a point to go out and pick up some tools after I get home from work/before I go to bed and when I wake up/before I go to work. Any free time I find in the day to work is a bonus.

Guess I should keep posting updates.

Good bit of the interior is out of the WRX. Still need to finish disconnecting the HVAC and start pulling what's left of the wiring harness. A thought occured to me too: perfect time to do a red bulb swap.

Where's that 2mm x 10mm screw... you know, the one that holds the hvac cable tensioner to the secondary impact beam brace bracket. It's gotta be around here, somewhere.

Getting ready to order a few things.

UTEC
Borla Hush Catback
PPG Straight cut gearbox.

The borla hush is for cruising. I'll have an electronic cutout for when i want to be loud but I also want to be able to not have my head explode when I'm curising in 5th with the stock helical.

It's funny. My buddy does OS tuning and actually recommended I get UTEC because it gives you some more freedom when tuning.

I just picked one up last night for $275. No biggie.

This is truth.

Go Open Source for "base" map and to hide all the codes your going to throw, then build secondary Maps on the UTEC.

You can get outside the UTEC's strength's pretty quickly. Ask me how I know.

Believe me if I had to pay the full $1k or whatever they are asking for a new one I wouldn't even bother. If I'm dissatisfied I could probably very easily make back the $275 I paid for it. If not.. oh well. On that note. Is anyone interested in the Cobb AP that came with the car? :p

If everything goes according to plan I'll have the PPG gearbox mid-week next week.

Little teaser of PPG straight cut goodness

The UTEC just came in the mail today as well. Even threw in yet another boost controller. I'm going to have to start selling these damn things. They are growing almost as rapidly as my collection of turbos
