1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 AWD/Turbo

Hey everyone,

I stumbled upon this place while looking for some locals to hang out with and share my car hobby. I live on Kent Island just over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I haven't met many guys in my area, and am hoping I can network here to change that.

Anyways, I have a 1991 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4. It's AWD, turbocharged, 4 wheel steer and full of awesome 90's tech. I've just completed a large part of a pretty in-depth resto/mod on the car. I do all the work myself as money and time allow. Here's a mod list and photo dump:

Motor:
6 bolt block rebuilt by Dale Morss Machine (.20" over, decked, cleaned, new freeze plugs)
1G Rods
Ross 2G 85.5mm 8.3:1 forged aluminum pistons
King rod and main bearings
Stock 6 bolt crank by C&P Machine (polished, oil galley balls removed/plugged)
ARP head bolts
ARP main bolts
Cylinder head rebuilt by Dale Morss Machine (Oil port mod, BC1100 valve springs, 3G revised lifters)
HKS 272 cams
Fel-Pro composite head gasket 9627PT
All new engine gaskets (FelPro)
New water pump and timing components (Gates)
Gates accessory belts
Gates timing belt
NGK BPR6ES plugs
New oil pump with OEM BSE kit
90' OEM oil cooler setup

Walbro 255 fuel pump
Aeromotive A1000 AFPR
-6 AN rail to AFPR

Rebuilt transmission with welded center diff (Red Line MT-90)
3 bolt rear differential (Red Line Heavy ShockProof)

Good Lawdy!! This is an UhhhMazing example of a VR-4. It almost looks like you had a JDM donor car. Eeeeeesh! So nice brudda.

Yeah, Darrin is going to have to be restrained. Rightfully so.
Your steering wheel looks like it is on the wrong side of the car.
You know, I have never stopped in Kent, I always thought about it but was always in a rush.
Hell of a hike, but would be cool to see you at a meet. We got one on Thursday coming up.

Very nice! Had a VR-4 and a Galant GSX. Still have a 1G DSM I use for snowdays. Welcome to the group.
