Audi 4000 turbo Quattro rallycar

Post by prorallycodriver »

So, its been built once before as 5cyl turbo rallycar, then again as AudiV8 roadrace/hillclimb car, and now, Evo3 is two 5cyl turbo rallycars franken-morphed into super-Audi.

First some old history photos.

For those who know my drifter/rallyx bro-in-law, the little boy holding the fire extinguisher while its being gassed is him. Me under hood. Mrs. Me supervising.

Then we stuffed the V8 in it and it sat mostly while we were racing with our other cars.

Image

Then wanted to resurrect it for rally again so went shopping for a 20v turbo motor and it came in this Audi90 rallycar, rallycar included.

Recently stripped the Audi90 rallycar and disposed of it and now best of both cars going into the 4000Q. Franken-build posts to follow.

Do you have any need to adjust camber/caster on this beast? If so, how do you do it? Strut-top plates are clearly out of the question.
