yeah, i'm not gonna lie, PPD was a bit like walking into Evo heaven. 4G63's/trannys/etc. parts lining the wall. Built open class evo 4 from the elder years of scca pro rally. evo shells in various stages of rallycross/rally build. very very cool stuff.

@drwrx @cereb daithi - yeah, part of the reason we went with the heavily restricted stock heavy class was because we knew a "basic" build would get us to SS1 the fastest. it's easy to decide what parts to go with when you only get one choice - OEM :P. I'd also like to think once i set my mind to something, i go all in on it, as is evidenced by this project being a full time job outside of the full time job

We're getting close to the finish line, this is going to be a very exciting week!

Well. The past 10 days have been absolutely ridiculous. We really wanted to have the car ready a week ago, but of course, it's racing, so some pretty significant brake fitment and engine management issues creeped up on us at the last minute. For a while there, things were looking grim, but we finally finished everything at about 2:30am this morning. It's official. This stock heavy evo 9 build is done and as of this morning we're on our way to International Rally New York 2011.

Cheers,
Alvin
