Interesting. I think that is what American Gladiators wear when they go to school.

It looks awful, um... tactical.

Looks aside, I don't think I'd want that for riding in particularly hot weather... the panels look thick and not very ventilated.

Also, what happens when you get caught in the rain? stop, shuck your backpack and put on raingear and then put this back on? Sauna much?

While I do like the idea of a "one harness for all my gear" type-product, I'd be concerned about how well (read:easily) this would work.

Just my .02USD, ymmv.

C, those were pretty much my thoughts too. The rain stuff isn't an issue, I'm not comfortable riding in the rain yet (probably better stated as 'extremely nervous' or 'borderline scared'). Thinking about the venting on my jacket, it looks like it'll partially cover the front vents and mostly cover the rears, but the arm vents will be fine.

I don't mind the tactical look, I'm already wearing a full face helmet on a cruiser, while wearing a touring bike jacket, so appearance doesn't matter too much. I'm looking for something I can carry my laptop in and won't shift around on me, and a little more visibility never hurt anyone.
