I thought you had to be active duty to rent the bays at Ft Myers? Are they open on Sundays?

They are opened from 9-5 on Sundays. We would need to call/verify. They don't open until 12:30 on Fridays. I just added the link to my last post.

I talked with a guy there and he said it is possible for contractors to rent bays. They just need to bring their CACs.

Sounds good!
Jason, I can't remember, do you have a CAC? If not, did you want to meet somewhere?

well, they're on... and the rears are especially noisy. going to have to do some research, I think I may be missing a piece between the spring and the top-hat that came with the kit.
but they're on, thanks to Jason and Adam.

the ride is better, if I plug my ears
I don't have a free weekend for a few months. going to call PTuning and have them look at it when I get an alignment.

On the other hand, we can upgrade your factory sound so you wont hear them

damn, that's not cool. what piece do you think you're missing? if there's a washer missing, you could run into problems where the tophat meets the strut shaft.

Congrats on the install! What kind of noise are you getting in the rear? Is it NVH or more of a clunking type noise? How do they feel in the corners?!?!

Rubber strip between the rear springs and the tophat.

Yeah. If the stocks needed to be modified and reused, it was beyond me. Researching now...
edit: so it appears that all 2004 Imprezas need either spacers or 2003 rear top hats. I was led to believe that only the 2004 waggons needed this.
guess I didn't do a thorough job with my homework on this one.
edit 2: but why did the kit come with rear top hats but no rubber for the spring to seat in? do I need
just a portion of a 2003 top hat?

Thats a PITA... they gave you a complete replacement tophat, it should have been right.

It wouldn't make sense to include a top hat that didn't work, unless it was a 02-03 top hat, which it wasn't. That was a strange looking top hat too. You could reuse your stock rear 04 tops hats since it has the rubber.
Here are the spacers I used for the rear,

Wow, I remember this! I was originally going to go with a D-spec set in my 04 wrx.. but i decided against it because of the rear top-hat thing.
damn. at least the rears are pretty easy to take apart?
do you have a spring compressor?

The top of the ne spring is a much larger diameter so no part of the stock top hats would work. Not sure how that spacer would remedy this situation. I wish I wasn't in class so I could make phonecalls and do more research.
