Audi reportedly cancels R8 TDI

I know I wouldn't able to afford one but I would've like to have at least dry humped this car.
the R8 was not originally designed to accommodate the company's enormous V12 turbodiesel engine, and re-engineering the car was proving far too costly for Audi to justify under these financial circumstances, especially when the American market, which accounts for 1/3rd of R8 sales, is marred by diesel prices that are higher than gas

They are very sweet cars. The more I see them, the more I like them. My dad has a thing for the latest Iron Man movie so he watches it all the time and the R8 is always there. Very sweet...can't afford.

Maybe they can put the oil burner into something else?
