The first gen A1 is all over the place here. Good looking little car.
I've seen two of the A1 Quattro's. This will be better as it has 2 more doors, non-limited production and a much lower price. :nana:

I wish the North American spec navi worked in Europe. It's a real bummer to get almost no discount from Audi (BMW, MB and Volvo offer sizable discounts) and have a navi that won't function. :notcool:

I like the S1. But $40k? There is just no way I'm paying that kind of cash for one.

Ya, climb a little and you can buy an S4... Looks like a blast, but needs to be mid 30's full equipped for me to buy.

0-60 in 5.7 doesn't really sound very fast for such a small car with so much power. Usually a hot hatch is traction limited because FWD, but this doesn't have that excuse. Unless you really absolutely have to have a tiny hot hatch with AWD there are just too many things that are way better value for money. The VW GTI for a kick off, which offers similar build quality and more room for much less.

Sit in a GTI (FWD by the way) and sit in an S1 and tell me they're the same build quality. The GTI is nice but the Audi has a much better interior. It's not about quantity, it's about quality. But this is why America doesn't get the cool small cars: we shop by the pound.

I just like the look of it. Its just the right mix of style and aggressiveness that so many small cars miss.

Hmm would be a lovely weekend of cooler temps up there.
Would be a pretty epic trip if I could get my uncle to come down and pick us up in the amphibious plane and drop off on the river. Taxi in and camp for a few days, then get picked up at the end...

I'd buy a three door version. I don't get the disappearance of proper hatches from the market....everybody is going five door.

I wanted a 5 door Golf R. It isn't any larger or heavier than the 3 door, but the back seat is a lot more useful. Too bad that Military Sales gets almost no allocations of the R.

If your backseats are actually large enough for people, 5 doors are just more practical.
