Audi has announced that it will be bringing new diesel versions of the Audi A8, A7, A6 and Q5 to the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. Audi claims that each TDI vehicle delivers up to 30% better fuel economy and 30% lower carbon dioxide emissions than gasoline powered models.

"Owners of Audi TDI engines have helped save over 4 million gallons of gasoline, or the equivalent of more than 240,000 barrels of foreign oil, since the introduction of Audi TDI to the U.S. in 2009**," said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. " And, TDI technology delivers better fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance."

All four models will be powered by a new 3.0 liter TDI clean diesel engine that generates 240 horsepower with 406 lb.-ft. of torque. The A8 TDI reaches 0-60 in 6.4 seconds and is rated at 24 MPG in the city and 36 MPG on the highway.

The A8 TDI will be available in the spring, while the A7, A6 and Q5 TDI models will be released in fall 2013.
VERY happy to see this!

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
