Their ToughSwitch are pretty good. I didn't go as far as destroying one, but I had a couple that I handled rudely on purpose and they didn't miss a beat.

Too bad they don't have a rugged fiber switch. We need to install one next to a sensor and it needs to be in the partially exposed housing.

Black Box makes a number of devices like this. Varying types of fiber.
