Bilbo Automotive is closing

Postby zaxrex » Thu Mar 20, 2014 12:31 pm

I got a call on the phone today that made me sad.
The shop is closing at the end of March and there are no plans to relocate.
Even with my strange automotive issues, Carlos was always up front and professional and could diagnose things like a beast.
Too bad I didn't have more things to fix so they could have stayed in business.

NO WAY! Are you shitting me! I had them do my 100K timing belt service along with a bunch of other upgrades. I've probably spent over 3K with them in the last year and was hoping to go back soon for some more work. They are super close by me, easy to work with, friendly, reliable, and honest. This is terrible. :notcool:

Anyone find a good alternative to Bilbo? Work buddy is looking for a solid independent shop for some work on a Dodge sedan with a blown engine.

Seconded. I was going to have them do a few things this summer, but this puts a wrench in plans.

I found a reliable place close to where I work in Rockville.
I don't suspect it does anyone on here any good though.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Carlos Jr is working w/ me at Audi of Tysons and enjoying the change in scenery. Belen was eagerly recruited by Olympus Imported Auto Parts and is working there on Eisenhower still very near our kid's elementary school. Need parts? Ask for her. And Gorka is next door to the old shop at VanDorn Auto and often is left in charge and can take care of you there.

Have a few of our own projects to complete but then will be doing sidejobs as time allows. Call me w/ request at 571-220-4168 between 10AM-8PM and I'll put you in touch.
