Last Minute NYE G2G!

Post by complacent »

Hey all,

I know some of us had mentioned continuing the tradition, so I figured I'd throw it out to everyone on teh boards.

For the last few years now, CnW and myself (amongst others) have been visiting le posh bar Continental for our collective New Years' celebrations.

It's close (relatively speaking I guess), has live music, plenty of room and NO COVER CHARGE.

It's been an absolute blast each year and one of the best reasons to make it into Rosslyn.

Easily accessible via metro and cab. Bring your friends, great attitudes and throw down like it's the end of... um... 2007? ;)

Hope to see some of you there. Good times will be had, beverages will be consumed and there might even be a few incriminating photos snapped that night!!

If you decide to accept this mission, be prepared to arrive early. They typically start allowing entry right at 8 or 9 PM, I always forget which. I'll check with them and update this post.

If you're thinking of making a post 10pm appearance, you'd better be ready for an uncomfortable line between you and alcohol induced cheer. True story.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Doors open at 8PM, that's 2000 for you military people/goons ;)

We'll be there ~7:45 to make sure we'll procure a good vantage/staging area. If *anyone* needs a place to crash/pregame/drop off a car, shoot me a PM or give me a ring on my celly. ewentz.

Good times. A little more subdued this year, but good times indeed. Was nice to be around "the fam" as it were... :)
