Nah, it drains real nice into the basement through the concrete slab.

His place is at the bottom of a hill and his back yard has a slope towards the house.

it may be more than grading can solve. might need to reseal the basement.

This is the first time in 3 years that I've had a problem with it. One thing that I noticed was that the back yard is sloped toward the house, so if I fix that, it should help a lot.
