weekend musieum crawl

Post by Mr Kleen »

I'm sure everybody has heard of the Cezanne exhibit at the National Gallery of Art, but did you hear about the Katsushika exhibit at the Freer? (google "great wave off the coast of Kanagawa" ).

there is also what looks to be an interesting photography exhibit of Hiroshi Sugimoto (no, I've never heard of him before now) at the Hirshhorn.

and while I'm on the Japanese kick, there is a collection of Kimonos at the National Geographic museum.

so go on out this weekend and ghet you some of that there culture so you can be all city-fied.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

glad you liked it. I'm going to check it out one day next week at lunch. works owes me a couple hours of comp time and the office is across the street from the air & space museum.

checked out the Katsushika exhibit today. amazing stuff.

i'll have to check that out...

if you make it to the sugimoto exhibit, make sure to see the sea of buddha, and the mathematical forms. also the seascapes were thought provoking.
