Hi guys -
If anyone has a CB radio with an external antenna and a cigarette lighter adapter that you wouldn't mind letting me borrow for a few days, I would greatly appreciate it. Fingers crossed. Thanks!

C'mon, Leigh.
It takes more than a few days to plan and execute a truck hijacking. Don't you watch F&F?

I haven't had one in years :( I use to love listening to the truckers. Especially when they would start rating the prostitutes at the truck stops

I miss having a CB as well. Apart from amusement, it's also useful as they tend to call out where the speed traps are.

Armed robbery? Truckstop prostitution? I'm embarrassed to admit that you guys know me all too well.

I have sourced a CB radio and antenna, so I guess I can put this posting to bed. But yeah, I can imagine one of these things would be awesome for finding speed traps, in addition to all of the above...

There is an app for that.
Now I just wish they made one for finding speed traps!

They have tons of those, and most of them are free :)
This one and this one (I've used it and it's decent) for example.

You realize that your reply implies that already have the app for armed robbery and truckstop prostitution...

I use Trapster on a regular basis. Mostly for it's real-time traffic monitoring.
It has saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
