Whoah, what happened to your brain and two feet? Or was that just hill start?
If your flywheel is light enough to trigger the cyl misfire crank sensor code, then that would be a hassle. For that, you would need one of the aluminum jobs with steel inserts at under 10 lbs.
Subaru has the 5MT STi clutch and lightweight flywheel that is very streetable. Mate that with thicker gearsets of the newer stock gearboxes, and you can hold some serious power, as long as you don't slam gears.
But that is just me talking.

paging Darren....

isn't Darren running a 18g on a stock 5spd?

I am liking the reviews of South Bend's clutches: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... lly+clutch

It's by no means unstreetable, but it's annoying. My dad's audi 2.7T had a light flywheel and it was a pain. The gear changes at normal speeds had to be super quick or the revs would drop too far. When hammering it hard it was a joy, but everywhere else, annoying.

Yeah, the ultrlight ones can do that. Keep it above 12# and you won't have that problem.
Might also be a good time to try lightweight pullies, and if you are not an AC or music hog, you might get away with underdriven ones.

Honestly, most of the problems with lightened flywheels can be easily fixed with tuning...

Andrew of Andrewtech fame said he liked the lightened flywheel in his [ :?: ] Subaru but that he heard a lot more noise from the drivetrain.
