Wow, 40:1.... that like a diesel! It will be very interesting to see how this + direct injection + variable vein turbo's works out in the next few years. I'm guessing we'll see large efficiency and power jumps!

Bio-fuel ethanol based fuels may not be the best economical alternative fuel, but the engineering involved is cool.
Nice things about diesel engines are their simplicity. Spark ignition engines like this will increase the complexity and long term cost of ownership.
But again, I like the engineering.
