Blue Lightning needs a New Tornado Machine [turbo]

Post by Libra Monkee »

Okay, now that I've just about paid for the engine I had rebuilt oh so long ago, It's time to give this bad boy some more pep. So I'm looking for suggestions on a new turbo.

Ar Fab told me that the engine can now withstand up to 500bhp. I don't need anywhere near that much in a daily driver. Basically I'm looking for a turbo that could give me the highest output while still allowing me to keep a TMIC. Front mounts are cool and all but I like having a front bumper. If I need a bigger TMIC, fine. So long as I can still close my hood (and don't lose air conditioning).

Also, are there any preparations I should make before the new turbo goes on? Like injectors, gaskets, or anything?

Injectors (Moddified stockers are perfect) - ~$400 ($200 for injectors, $200 to mod). You'll make $200 back if you sell your stockers afterward
Fuel pump - Walbro 255 - $75
Turbo - Depends on how much HP you want.
Large TMIC - $200

Turbo's:
ForcedPerformance HTA Green - ~350whp -
Blouch 20G-XT - ~350whp
Blouch Dominator 3.0 XT-R - ~380whp

Here is a combo that you might want to check out: FP HTA Green Turbo, Walbro Fuel Pump + install, kit deatschwerks 850cc injectors - $2155

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Go with one of those Blouch turbos

I think one day I might upgrade to Blouch 20G-XT and a larger TMIC for an extra 50WHP.
