Ferrari has taken the wraps off the Enzo's successor, the Ferrari LaFerrari. The LaFerrari is making its world debut today at the Geneva Motor Show.

The LaFerrari is a limited-series model, of which only 499 will be built. It's powered by a new hybrid system that pairs a 789-hp 6.3L V12 engine with a 160-hp electric motor. The hybrid system puts out a total 949-hp and 663 lb-ft. of torque. The hybrid system sends its power to the ground via a seven-speed transmission. The batteries that power the electric motor are charged in different ways: under braking and every time the V12 produces more torque than required, such as in cornering. In the latter instance, rather than the being sent to the wheels, the excess torque is converted to energy and stored in the batteries.

According to Ferrari, the LaFerrari will reach 0-62 mph in under 3 seconds and has a top speed over 205 mph.

"We chose to call this model LaFerrari," declared Ferrari's President, Luca di Montezemolo, "because it is the maximum expression of what defines our company - excellence. Excellence in terms of technological innovation, performance, visionary styling and the sheer thrill of driving. Aimed at our collectors, this is a truly extraordinary car which encompasses advanced solutions that, in the future, will find their way onto the rest of the range, and it represents the benchmark for the entire automotive industry. LaFerrari is the finest expression of our company's unique, unparalleled engineering and design know-how, including that acquired in Formula 1."
I don't know why, but I never liked the Enzo. I like this car... except for the name...

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Slightly less ugly than the Enzo. Stupid name makes up for it. :notcool:

I NEVER thought the Enzo was good looking. This is much better. Definitely function over form, and sometimes, I'm ok with that :)

I do think this is an improvement over the Enzo.
And it certainly looks more Hot Wheelish than any Ferrari.
I used to really like Ferrari's in my youth. Now, meh.

On looks, I would go for the P1 instead.
