2014 Ford Fiesta ST

Now this sounds like a Fiesta... In your pants!!
Ford's 2,600-pound Fiesta is now going to get an optional 197-horsepower 1.6 liter four cylinder, backed up with 214 lb-ft of torque. It seemed like yesterday that carmakers were repeatedly telling us Americans that we didn't want that kind of power in that small a package, or just plain couldn't handle it. Even with the high-spec engine, Ford still thinks the car will get 34 mpg. Nice.

The ST is fairly well set into the enthusiast mold. We only get the five-door hatch and the manual transmission. No sedan, no slushbox. Sports suspension, better brakes, and a bodykit are unsurprising parts of the ST package.
I am strangely more intrigued by this car than the Focus ST.

You forgot to add: And Everyone's Invited!

And I share in your excitement. I find this more appealing that the Focus ST as well.
I think it make be a legitimate challenge to the Abarth.

No, I already have a good car. I don't need a new one.
All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?

That's a lot...but then I guess the fiesta isn't that cheap to begin with. Isn't a Focus ST only like $3K more?

I wonder if I'll be able to swap those brakes onto my car. :D

The Fiesta ST is powered by a is powered by a 1.6L turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that packs 197 horsepower and 214 lb-ft. of torque. The Fiesta ST also gets a full body kit, a sportier suspension with a lower ride height, Recaro seats and 17-inch alloy wheels. A fully optioned Fiesta ST will sticker for around $26k.
Honestly, this is more appealing to me than the Focus ST. Especially as a commuter car.

I like my small hatch, but the trunk is lacking if you need to transport a lot on a weekend away. It really only has the cargo capacity for a two people, maybe three if you give up some of the back seat. That said I did get a TV stand I bought from Julian in the back of it without too much trouble.
