Concept-RA May Be New Eclipse?

Post by WRXWagon2112 »

To be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show in January, the Mitsu Concept-RA might be the new Eclipse.

Article wrote:Performance enthusiasts have witnessed the devolution of the Mitsubishi Eclipse from the turbocharged, all-wheel-drive thrill ride it once was to the V6-powered, front-wheel-drive highway cruiser it is today. Perhaps the Concept-RA that Mitsubishi will unveil at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show in January heralds a return to that original Eclipse. The concept certainly has the look of those first-gen cars, with a low slung body and perfectly arching roof line. The rear even has a bit of Boxster to it. The fender flares and what we hope are functional extraction vents give purpose to the design, which is backed up by the use of lightweight materials and an eco-friendly though potent powerplant.

Let's hope that this car's ass will outdo that bland BS that they gave the EVO X... Though considering both fronts look equally aggressive, one can only hope they don't do the same thing with this car's ass.

I like Mitsu's styling direction a lot better than Subaru's of late. :x

I hate to say it, but everyone's got better styling than Subaru as of late... Even Hyundai, which of course I'll never own a car by, but still...

If it did come out looking like that, they would have people lining up in the streets for it, that's for sure.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

After having just now looked at the ass drawing of this car... That's gotta be the Eclipse replacement, it looks almost identical to the ones out now, but a bit fatter and more aggressive.

OT: nope. the new Tiburon isn't RWD, that will be a completly new model. the Tib retains it's FWD architecture and no V8 for either.
