Has he replaced the RFTs on his 335is? That would really change my view of his opinion of the BRZ.

Tell him to replace the RFTs with any normal summer performance tire. If he's an enthusiast he'll thank you.

Chris Harris is just about the most entertaining auto-journalist around these days. Glad he loves the car.

^^^ You can tell the engineering to get this thing right was in their hearts. Amazing to hear about things like the starter position, the steering rack changes etc. etc.

As cool as that sounds, all those bespoke items are gonna run up the production costs of the car. :(

The new issue of EVO has 4 articles about the BRZ:
A 24 hour drive from the south of France to the south of Wales.
A test with rivals (MX-5, 370Z & Mégane 265 Trophy).
A day at the track (Bedford Autodrome)
A face off against a first generation Impreza turbo.

Spoilers, anyone?

You can subscribe via iTunes if you have an iPad. I just renewed my subscription and added the iPad upgrade.

I'll read the articles and post the results tomorrow, but after skipping ahead the results may surprise...

Read most of the articles: great chassis, decent interior, poor engine sound, needs an additional 50 HP and lbft of torque to be a fun car.

EDIT: Jethro Bovingdon, Henry Catchpole, Mike Duff and Stephen Dobie were flabbergasted to find they all liked the Mégane better than the BRZ on the back road test. :(

I've now got my first ETA/VIN for the first order. It's supposed to be here 5/30 tentatively.
