Vortech supercharger kit for BRZ/FRS

Post by Mr Kleen »

Vortech is debuting their supercharger kit for the BRZ/FRS twins at SEMA this weekend. So far these two blurbs are all I've found but I thought I'd start a thread to post info as it develops.

Anyone else heard any details? There's NOTHING on Vortech's official page...

Yep, everyone is trying to add boost to the car in some form or another. There's overhead, stock location, under, rear and custom mounted solutions for turbos and superchargers.

$4295 and no fuel management or tuning. I hope the complete kit comes in no higher than $5k...
Can the BRZ use the open source tuning that the WRX and STi can?

It uses the same ECU as the diesel, so it looks like it's a go :) They just need to figure out the additional tables and such.
RomRaider Effort. EcuTek proved it could be done, so I bet ROMRaider will have something out soon.
