sighted: crazy MB e190

Post by ElZorro »

I was on my way to work this morning, and this MB e190 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W201) ripped past me at probably twice the speed limit. From the back I could tell the car had work, larger exhaust, dropped, tiny spoiler. I was confused, because this was probably a 1990 or so model. I get up behind it and it sounds really good. :) Get up next to him at the next light (no small feat!) and it turns out the driver is probably about 65yo or so, he looks over and grins ear to ear. :)

Something for all of us car nuts to look forward to. :)

Funny. Buddy of mine who used to own a modded S2000 and was considering getting an STI sold the S2000 and bought one of these cars after he got married. I still don't understand how you can drive one of those things. They just really don't do it for me. Although I guess Francis' is stock. Maybe they look better when they've been treated to a little modern styling.

Reminds me of that 60+ yr old in that monster of a Mitsubishi 3000GT at Altered Atmosphere. IIRC, it ran 10's  I just remember him crawling into it.... and then flying down the road like a 16yrd old!

There was a guy who used to own one of these in my apt. complex when I was in my teens. It was silver with a red interior....very hott...

there was a 190 Evolution. Turbo 4cyl motor, big rear spoiler, lowered. It was homologation for the DDM series or something. Sweet car.
