Just bought my first Subaru, a 2008 WRX Hatch. I'm excited to start working on it and I'm interested in any modification info I can get my hands on. I was introduced to DCAWD by a guy at work. I attended one meet briefly and everyone seems very friendly. (Unlike the Euro scene to which I am accustomed.) I look forward to attending more meets.

Re: Hey, I'm new
Welcome to the boards Simon! We're all always working on each others cars, so we can definitely help you out. There is a ton of information on the board, but if you have trouble finding it, feel free to ask. Making power on the 08's is much easier than it was in the past.
General upgrade plans (in no particular order):
Engine:
Downpipe + EM
Intake, DP, EM + custom tune
turbo (and all supporting mods)
Brakes:
Stainless Steel lines, brake fluid, pads
Suspension:
Springs + swaybars
coilovers or inserts.
I'm being VERY general, so feel free to ask specifics!
Hope to see you at the next meet (which I'll be posting tonight!)

welcome. the euro scene can be a bit harsh. i'm friends with a vdub club and they always get a bad rap for being snobs when they are all pretty down to earth guys. hope to see you at a meet.

Re: Hey, I'm new
I think a remember seeing that car and still not being all too excited about the taillight/ hatch section. But welcome to the boards. I've been doing some reading into '08 WRX/ STi mods and those cars are starting to put down some pretty impressive numbers. I'd like to see what you do do to yours.

Re: Hey, I'm new
Can I interest you in some water injection for your power mods? That and a stiffer transmission mount are the best things that I can offer to an aspiring modder. Welcome and keep coming to meets!
