New horsepower rating standards

Post by sirwilliam »

Not sure if anyone's seen or heard about this but forgot to post up on this new horsepower rating standard.

Read about it under "The Horsepower Race Gets Muddied":

I found it interesting that GM's numbers went up but Toyota and Honda's went down. maybe The General could trade some of that extra HP to the Japanese for some build quality?

the Challenger makes me want to start smoking again. I guess it's a good thing it's a Dodge, otherwise I might be tempted to trade in when they come out...

^^^^ lol.... NOT

The new Dodges are pretty hot, I do have to admit! Finally ONE of the American car companies is listening. With the huge increase in sales, I can't believe the rest have not jumped on the bandwagon.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

unfortunately most of the good looking American cars of late are retro designs. what happens in a couple years when these designs need to be freshened? Chrysler finally started listening less to the bean counters and more to the public. that's why they're designs have gotten better over the last 10-15 years. maybe Ford and GM will follow? (I have little hope for GM to reform their corporate culture.)
