A few of us are planing to see Avatar in IMAX 3D at 11:30 am at the Hoffman Center off Eisenhower ave in Alexandria, VA.

Anyone wanting to join us are welcome. We plan on being at the theater at 11 am.
Tickets are $11.

I'll try to make it... I have to go into work for a meeting with two people... but they haven't said what time the meeting will be! I'll git'r'done ASAP and try to make this!

I was still in a meeting when this was taking place :( I got a message from Darrin (Thanks!) that it was sold out through today though, so it doesn't sounds like any of us is going!

Yep, all was for naught we got there in time to find it was sold out, all shows all times until tomorrow.

Oh well, swing and a miss.

To answer that: "Yes" and "No".

Last heard, it has made $1.6 BILLION worldwide and has passed Star Wars as third highest grossing movie of all time (behind Titanic and Spider-Man). So yeah, it's raking in the moolah.

But, it's not good - at least IMHO. In fact, it's pretty terrible story-wise. But I still tell everyone to go see it in the theater in 3D (not in 2D) for the experience. I won't give spoilers to support my opinion of the story, though.
