as far as performance is concerned, i think i'll only be putting a dp and headers and maybe a FMIC for looks
invidia v3 dp and that new APS header looks good. would i be better off with a flash? or go utec instead? I'm a def. noob with tuning and i just want it to run without having to mess with it. I've read up on both things - but i'm still divided 50/50 with the decision.
btw - invidia v3 dp + hks carbon ti = fitment? does anyone know if theres any issues?

If you don't have to deal with emissions than I'd do any bellmouth 3" downpipe, even the cheap ebay downpipes I've seen are decent. If you deal with emissions, I would recomend either the helix catted ($400), Daddy's catted down and midpipe ($580), or the Autospeed catted downpipe ($500). All will match-up to your HKS catback and all should pass emissions, either OBDII or sniffer. You may need to do the anti-fouler trick to pass OBDII.
As far as headers go, my personal favorite is the Borla. You can find them for under $500, it comes pre coated and has a 1,000,000 mile warranty. Very hard to beat. My other choice would be what ever I can find used for cheap. There was a dyno comparison done a while back on 7 different headers for the WRX. The power improvements were nearly identical on all compared (12 whp / 16 ft/lbs) on average.
