Busch Gardens - Saturday 25OCT08

Post by ElZorro »

And DCAWD does it again! We're heading to Busch Gardens Europe again, on Saturday 25OCT08.

Drive is about 3 hours each way, we can meet at Hard Times in Springfield in the morning and carpool/caravan from there. (I'll post more details on this, but anticipate leaving Springfield by 8am at the latest)

Tickets are $56.95 through their website, or I can get them for $50.95 through my company. If you can get a check to me (or paypal to include the fees) I can grab a ticket for you as well. If somehow we get a really big group there are group discounts, but I don't know if we'll get to that number.

We have gone a couple times and its always a blast!

Who's in?!?!

Negative. I'm too fucking tall for amusement park rides (the shoulder thingies don't come over my shoulders). I'm down for a 3hr ride, but not if it's just going to be 95 or whatever. Rt. 1 to Occoquan to Manassas etc., and I'm in, even if I just turn around at the gate. :)

We usually meet at Hard Times at 7AM and then proceed down from there. It's a good location right off 95 :)

Actually it's supposed to be pretty warm... but wet... and a little lightningy. But I say as long as the park's open, we still go. Just bring a poncho if your afraid of the water.

A couple of us are getting tickets in advance, and this is the last weekend, so... Rain just scares of the lazy, slow walking people anyways, makes it more enjoyable.

Some notes for people:
- Arrive no later than 7:45AM at the Springfield Hard Times parking lot
- Have a full tank of gas
- Have an empty bladder
- Eat breakfast before you arrive (or bring it with you)
- Bring sunscreen if you burn easily
- Bring clothes that you will be comfortable in 40-50F weather
- Bring a spare set of clothes

This has been a public service announcement. Anything you say can and will be used against you.

Well, with the exception of about an hour we had great weather at the park. Sorry so many folks didn't end up making it!
