Sweet! I have only done one autocross since I moved to the east coast 11 years ago. This should be very entertaining.

Ok, pass the hat time! If we get enough donations she won't have a choice but drive. :)

Darwin, cool! Great to see someone get back into something. :)

I've gotten a commitment from a co-worker so I've added him to the first post. I'll get a check from him and get it to you, Jason.

It's kind of a hodge-podge.

It's technically billed as a level II course, but with 1 on 1 instruction, the limit is between the seat and steering wheel if you catch my drift.

Bottom line - anyone can learn a ton over the course of the day and have a great time doing so.

Colin hit it right on the head. You get so much time behind the wheel with the instructor that anyone can learn... Andy has a significant amount of autox experience, hell his Civic is essentially a race prepped car, and he even learned a bunch, and we n00bs could see the difference in his driving at the end of the day.

They will cover all of the autox basics, from teching a car, to what the different cone setups mean, etc, they start basic with a figure-8, then a slalom, and then a full course.

cool....the person asking the question has done a bunch of classes and driving schools and wanted to know. Frankly, this n00b smoked her (on a/s tires even!) at the Bowie CDC meet so it's not like she couldn't use some more instruction I guess.

That's because I SUCK!!! That being said, almost everybody can benefit from good seat time. Just going out and driving is not necessarily going to help you. But having an instructor sitting next to you providing feedback is invaluable.

If you can't benefit from it, then you should be a nationally ranked autox-er

reminds me of an interview with Neal Peart in Modern Drummer years ago. he said "I don't practice any more, I can't get any better."
so you have to ask yourself: "am I the driving version of Neal Peart?" :rolllaugh:
