I've asked five people so far and they all seem to be afraid.

^ Basically. People have been talking a lot about how fast4r their car is and how it handles mad tight, but they don't want to put their money where their mouth is.

lol, funny you should say that... I received this e-mail from a guy I worked with a couple of years ago recently:
Wow he lives; I thought you got splattered on a street curve doing 40 MPH. LOL!
Guy owns a Vette (C5 - stock) which insists will blow my doors off. My car isn't a sports car in his mind. I'm sure the car still has under 1k on it too in the 4 years he's owned it. Won't take it out in rain, snow or even to a track!

I love guys like this. He has a 350 hp C5 and thinks he has some halo car. Don't get me wrong, the C5 is the Corvette that made me actually like them and give them props. However, I would take Julian in his car over this guy in his C5 everyday and twice on sunday. A stock C5 will run 0-60 in around 4.7 and the 1/4 in 13.3 @ around 110 mph with a good driver and a good launch. It will perform at the track, but you gotta be a real driver to get the most out of it. High hp / torque rear wheel dive cars like the C5 are a handful at the limit, and something tells me this guy isn't one who can wring it out like he'd need to to keep up with Julian.

people like that are just as guilty as ricers for giving automobile enthusiasts a bad name. a damn shame a nice car like a C5 is saddled with that owner.

Of those dates, my co-worker would NOT be able to do anything Aug 13-18 (out of town on vacation). Let us know if that's not possible.

We have a couple people that have said that it needs to be in the later half of that range, so I think that should be workable.

Next weekend? You mean first weekend. If methinks right, we do it during the week 'cause the price is much less. Anything is possible with enough cash though.

Yea, with the way we go we get two instructors for 12 people for a full day, and you get alot of runs. With the weekend courses the enrollment is much larger, not as much personal attention.

So we have two spots left, and at this point we're just too close to be able to get this coordinated for August... sorry folks. I'll continue to work on getting the last slots filled and we'll coordinate from there to get it scheduled so that everyone can make it. Please continue to beat the bushes (lower case b, not upper case B) and see if we can identify anyone else.

Anyone that would prefer to take their name off the list go ahead and drop me a PM and I'll get your money back to you.
