DCAWD Event - Busch Gardens - 10/01/05

Post by Sabre »

Hello all,
Gather around, DCAWD is having a meet at Busch Gardens! Why wait till the end of the summer to do this? Howl-O-Scream! If you have never been to BG during this, it puts most places to shame. Everything is decorated perfectly and a lot of the rides are modified to fit the theme. Oh, and did I mention the park was open till 10pm?

We'll be meeting at approximately 7am at the Hard Times in Springfield, then driving down to BG together. Hard Times is located at:
6362 Springfield Plaza
Springfield, Virginia 22150
(703) 913-5600

If you are in the Richmond/HR area, come out to meet up with us when we get down there!

New this year is the Curse of Darkastle!

Anyone is more than welcome to attend. The price per ticket is $42 for adults. This may go down depending on the number of people that will be coming. For the Kings Dominion trip, we ended up giving everyone back a little cash :) Payment is due by Sept 26th if you are paying with a check. You can pay by cash the day we go down there if you do not give me a check by then. IM me for who to make check payable to and the address to send them. You can always just give it to us at a meet though ;)

Most up to date information found in our forum here.

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

If I don't have to be in upper MD for my nephew's chistening, I wanna play. I'll even pay!

Is $42 a special group rate, reg. is $49. There also is one with meal included for $48.50, min. 15 people.

I'd be interested.

Julian, check the purchase link, I think we should go with the $47 food deal vs. $42 ticket only, you know it'll cost double the $5 for entree, side, and drink. But you must reserve 10 days in advance for it.

Oh, I totally agree, but I'll leave that up to whoever is going. Actually, I'll add it to the post so that people know about it too.

That "more information here" link just puts up the forum index. Isn't this the most up to date thread for info?

I don't know. still sore from that bump on the head from the rotor. this would be the third time pulling the UP/DP for me. I have company in from out of town this weekend and I don't get home until 6:30 or 7 each night. right now I just have a bad attitude... :x but thanks for the offer.

Dude, that really sucks that the UP still isn't done right :( I've pulled mine 3 times as well. Not a fun job! Where is the leak coming from?

most likely the up/turbo side. it only happens at 90%+ throttle and 3200+ RPM. sounded great when I fired the car up and drove off. then I decided to really give it a go. that's when the harpy showed up. like I said, I've just got a bad attitude about it right now and I'm just not sure I have a third try in me. I don't really want to pay $237 to get it fixed but at this point I would rather pay than spend another entire day under the car with no guarantee that it would even work after that.

sorry for the thread hijack, I'm sitting here at work unable to do much of anything until they finish my security paperwork. I can only go to a couple of web sites because of our proxy here at work, hence all the posting.

man I would LOVE to go. you guys know my unhealthy love of roller coasters  but I've just got too much on my plate this weekend, not to mention that Steve's sister is coming into town for the weekend. she's hella-cool and I don't really get to see much of her because every time I go to Lexington I'm busy visiting MY family. but thanks for making me feel all warm and fuzzy.

or was that the Irish coffee for breakfast?

Don't worry Gabe, I took a ride on one for you and had a blast. Just wish the girls from Monster Stomp would have been in the haunted house...
