Glass Onion @ The Griffin Tavern (Flint Hill VA) - Fri 16SEP

Post by ElZorro »

http://www.glassonion.info/index.html

So, lets do it again. Glass Onion, an awesome Beattles tribute band is playing at The Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill VA. Hit their site for some song samples.

Basically, you go out 66 to Marsnall (exit 27), then it's about 15 miles of beautiful back roads. Dinner, a couple pints, some great music, then a beautiful drive back.

Happy to meet up with folks and caravan, we can either get together near the beltway or out at Marshall.

Great! But it's not this Friday, it's in September.

And I can tell you that the band is a good band. Nice little bar and excellent back roads to get to the place!

I wasn't scared! I was just ... resting my arm. On a handle which was conveniently placed above the door. :D

Ok, bump for Glass Onion this Friday. I was thinking about doing this and then heading over to Herndon for Toni's b-day party.

Anyone that wants to meet up for the drive, lets plan on the BJ's at Fair Lakes Shopping Center. -map- (note on the map, BJ's is actually on the south side of the road that runs through the center, across from the BestBuy)

Lets plan on pulling out by 7. I'm happy to DD for this one, or if anyone wants to save miles on their cars (Colin?)

Please shout out and let me know if you're in, and if so if you'll want dinner, we can try and call ahead for a table.

Feeling much better now. Fever's been gone for a week. Now just have to deal with a shrunken stomach (that'll happen when you don't eat for a week), reduced energy and reduced strength. None of which helped when moving this past weekend. On the plus side, I think I lost 15 pounds!

Got a cough now, but not related to any sickness. Thanks for asking, Julian.

I won't be able to make it due to the g/f finally getting back in town. She's doing a lot of travel for work this month - even on the weekends - which kinda limits time together. If I don't want to deal with her complaining about it, I need to head things off by getting together with her when possible.

Maybe next time ...

party? I was going to make an excuse why I couldn't make it out to see the band but if there's the possibility of a party... well, so long as it isn't a sausage party. I don't get home till almost 7 what with the new schedule and riding Metro now.
