DCAWD Caravan to Import VS Domestic - THIS SUNDAY!!!

Post by complacent »

What: Import VS Domestic, last drag race of the year at MIR.

When: This Sunday, November 5th - Meeting at 0900.

Where: The meetup spot? Hoffman Theater in Alexandria. Map found here.

The actual race? Found over here.

Event general info you say? Look over here.

Why? Watching a turbo-swapped civic leave a big block at the line is an experience everyone should check out at least once. Even people who hate drag racing will appreciate it, I promise.

So grab yourself, your woman/man/dog/??? and lets go watch teh fastArr!!

Damn, thought I would be able to get to it in time.

For the record, I did ask if the $20 admission was per car or per person.

You DON'T wanna race that day. Trust me. It's one of the biggest events they host all year and the competition is INSANE For the Street Renegade category (turbo, street car) the bump spot (have to go at least XYZ fast to make it to the next round) after the First round was a 10.2!!

And you reeeeeeeeeeely don't wanna speed there. Every single cop from here to there knows you're heading that way, and they'll be waiting. I have never made the trip without seeing someone getting arrested, car towed away. :(

That being said, I am offering to drive for whomever needs a lift - I can fit two ppl in the back of teh RS. It is a pretty drive though!

^^^Oh I know that much. I mean for the sake of the caravan. I didn't want to have Subaru, Subaru, Subaru, Celica, Subaru, Subaru.

If I could have made it, I would have thrown a Saab into the mix. But hey, it has the same turbo as the WRX, that aught to count for somehting!

Sunday is my only day to move :*(

I might have to postpone it, or try to get it all done on Friday morning or something.

I REALLY want to go!

Ok, fixing the schedule so I can make it.

If I can come, hopefully I can catch a ride with someone from Hoffman?

All,

Are we bringing out FRS's (radio's) for the drive? I've got 2 - can lend one to someone who might not have one.

I know they might have come in handy last year when *ahem* whoever was at the front of the line got us....dare I say....lost? :)

Anyway - let me know so I can get mine charged.

I'll try to get you the ones I took but they're very plentiful and with videos so email won't work.

You're already approved ;) For some reason, I thought you already had an account :/

Don't worry, I'll post it :) I forgot the USB cable, but I can post it as soon as I get home!
