Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Thoughts on whether I should my 17" OZ/Pirrelli p-zero nero set or my stock set? Pirelli's are brand new, stock tires have about 15k on them...
Is it better to learn with the good set or stock set? How much do I care about the tread wear? (I know, that's a ? for me to answer)...
Like I said...thoughts?

IMHO it depends.
I used to be in the "just run RE92s" camp until a later epiphany where I started to think that it was better to get seat time with a consistent setup. Basically I would recommend going with whatever you will actually use for autocross.
Unless you are not going to autocross any, in which case, run whatever.

i may...and thats a huge may, be able to make it to the second session on june 23rd. I would need to buy a helmet, and come up with the $200 plus. Oh i forgot my car may not even be broken in by then (700 miles to go)! But the reason i bought the car is to get into auto-xing so ill try my hardest to get it to work. Do you guys think stock springs/rear sway bar are sufficient?

Whatever form your car is in will be fine for AutoX. As Brian showed us over and over again last year, it's not the car, but the driver The things you mentioned will certainly make it easier on you to do well though. It's actually a very good chance for you to get to know your car in it's stock form.92xaero wrote:i may...and thats a huge may, be able to make it to the second session on june 23rd. Ok, some interesting news. I was talking with Brian about the class and he mentioned that he has a new parking lot available.
Good Things
- bigger
- will support a larger course
- should support a faster course
- no light poles
Bad Things
- it is in Sykesville, MD (west of Baltimore)
- cost would go up to about $1500, that would be another $30/person (Total of $250)
If we had the second class there, would anyone else be interested? (Colin? Zak?) Would the folks that were in for the second class be willing to pay extra?

Cool. All the details are above. To get your name on the list I need a check. Some folks are using Paypal but you will need to pay the fees (+3% + $0.30). I don't cash the checks until I make the reservation so it's to your advantage to do it that way.Tom Sullivan wrote:im interested of course

Unfortunately for me, work is busybusy. I do *LOVE* the idea of a bigger course but I think I'm still going to have to pass...ElZorro wrote:Ok, some interesting news. I was talking with Brian about the class and he mentioned that he has a new parking lot available.

More like, woke up yesterday at 7am, did work for side clients, went to NASA at 2:30pm and didn't leave until 5:30am the following day... The the PIG F*CKER from SAIC calls me up and says, "oh, btw, since you didn't get the drug test done in time, you can't start until the 6th now" I just wanted to say "blow me" since I just stayed at work until 5:30am FOR YOUR COMPANY.ShannonO wrote:I'm confused, up at 4pm?
