I'm in for the 12th. The only peoblem with skyline Dr. is that there are not many places to park 10+ cars are take pictures. but hey, i would be up for it. I could grab a video camera and shoot the drive out on 66 :)

Trust me, we can shoot all we want around the Mall and any of the monuments. They are under the US Parks (which is a client of mine) and are public domain. Our only issue will be finding spaces that are together, especially if there are many of us.

public domain or not, it's dc. the cops don't necessarily care about the actual laws, rather they care about what keeps their bosses and the political bigwigs happy.

The Mall is Policed by the US Park Police, and I can pretty much assure you they are aware of the law in this case. And with the current rise in assualts and robberies on the Mall the last thing they are going to worry about is a small group of people taking pics on the Mall.

maybe we should take the Mall pix extra early to avoid traffic, hyperactive law enforcement, and muggers? :shock:

With proper permitting though we can get the cars into places that we otherwise wouldn't be able to.....and we wouldn't have to worry about the logistics of having to keep together. Just a thought....but I still think this would be a good way to go.
