Winter setup or All-Seasons

Post by goob_os101 »

I am looking at getting a set of RS 6 spokes that come with Avalanche Xtreme snow tires, so should I keep the winters and toss them on my stockers then buy a set of Summers for the 6 spokes or should I just sell the winters and grab a set of ASX's?

Who runs a winter setup here?

just about all of us run summers/winters. with the pathetic amount of snow/ice we get lately, snow tires aren't as big of an advantage as they used to be. couldn't hurt though.

the advantage of a good set of summers, of course, is obvious.

i'd only go all seasons if money or laziness (in my case) is an issue. i've heard great things about the asx's (mr kleen ran them, if memory serves). as far as the kumho line in general, i had the ecsta spt's on my sti and was in <3. not the stickest summers, but they had enough grip to survive an auto-x while not providing a punishing ride.
