Which JDM to choose?

Post by sirwilliam »

I really want choice 2 b/c it will make it look sweet and be more true to the FSTi. They both cost the same regardless...which is if I can afford them and do decide to get them.

=============================================================================

Choice 1) 18 x 8 silver JDM STi wheels for Forester

Pros:
  • Lightweight 17-18lbs each
  • Look slick in silver
  • clear brembos
Cons:
  • Are not the stock FSTi wheels (choice 2)

Choice 2) 18 x 7.5 silver JDM

Pros:
  • Are dead sexy!
  • Clear brembos
  • Make my car look more like the real deal FSTi
Cons:
  • Are not the JDM STi wheels (choice 1)
  • Heavy 26lbs each

TBH I like to looks of the top option more.
Spokes that get wider towards the outside look a little funny.

Plus a total of +40 lbs seems like a lot. I can feel that much in my trunk, should feel it more on the wheels.

No worries.

On a side note, the pricing on these wheels just went up...not sure I want to shell out that much for them: $2400 shipped from Japan :(

i'd say neither. for the same money get a set of te's off of tire rack. less spokes to clean.

Due to the increase in price, looks like it will be neither...unless I can get a used set for cheap. For now w/ just stick w/ my Enkei and Rotas
