ok...my wife rocks.

Post by PGT »

How the hell she got all four wheels up there on her own, we'll never know. I ordered the rack from Amazon and it came in last night...it was going to be my weekend project.

the rack can hold 375lbs. I didn't weigh the rears which are 18x9 and 275/35's mounted.....I'd guess 60lbs at most so the rack is holding probably half of what it's rated for.

maybe it is the angle of the shot, but is there enough space at the top to get the tires town?
or is there some super slick latch that pops out and lets you remove from the bottom?

hmmm...I see you're point. She got them in one-by-one so I'll assume there's room (probably not much...I would've mounted it lower just to make climbing a ladder easier)

indeed!

looking at it up close....there's a good 12 inches above the tires. also...the rack can't sit any lower as there's only about 4 inches of clearance when the door is open.

so...looking at the install; its not level side to side and I would have put washers under the bolt heads, just to be anal. But, I'm not gonna tell her or fix it either :rolllaugh:

Something tells me that she REALLY didn't like those tires 'cluttering' the garage.
