AutoX Team competetion

Post by spazegun2213 »

Alright guys The CrossRoads club of the DC area is starting a team AutoX competition. We are wondering if you all are interested? As prizes we have 3 sets of tires to give to the winners. there is NO entry fee. You simply have to enter, submit a roster for your 4 racers (this roster can be modified) and show up to the events and have a good time. These events will be hosted by other clubs (ie from the list katy posted), we will just use the time from those in our competition.

Think you all want to enter? these are all the details i have now but I'll post more as they come out.

no entry fee? I might sign up just for the free events. don't put me on your team if you're trying to win the tires: I've never done a single AutoX event in my life.

still waiting for another DCAWD AutoX school day...

Yall can put me in as a competitor/member.

How do the different classes work? I mean not everybody is prepped the same or can compete in the same class, handicapping?

The trick is, if the captain has fun out, it better stay away from the subie, and play with the BMW...=Bus metro walk.

If you could just let us know once the details are hashed out and what the rules are, that would be great. If you need any suggestions, Shawn and I participated in this last year: http://www.nerdsracing.com/sliderule.htm

Breaking news!!!

Scoring will be done on teh SCCA's PAX system!!

Teams: 1 per club!!
The reason for this is that there are 10 scored events each need 4 Drivers!!! Rosters can be edited as much as you want allowing upto 40 drivers per team!!!

sound ok so far?

So, how does this work for non-PAX events like CDC or BMW club? Do we recalculate our time using our correct PAX multiplier? And this would require that people know their SCCA class, right?

Would attending Pro-Solos count as well, or only regular autox events?

All we take from an event is the time, and we'll figure out the PAX (via the scca rule book). So all you have to do is run in any event, and we'll do the rest.

As for the events we should have a tenative schedule of events next week.
