AutoX effect on oil interval(s)?

So, I did an autocross.
Was fun, and I'll go again.

My basic mfg recommended oil interval is :
- 6k for engine
- 18k for diffs/trans.

How should it be adjusted when doing autox?

Should I just take N miles of of my interval for every event, or something like that?
What's a good ballpark approach?

depends on frequency of events. if you're going once a month, you're really only driving the snot out of your car for about 10min. I might accelerate the schedule by 25% in that case, 50% if you're going every weekend.

This is going to sound REDICULOUS, but I would change my oil before and after track days. This was usually after beating the crap out of the car for 30 minutes straight for 3 sessions a day though over two days. I change my oil every other RallyX now in the L. Might seem ridiculous, but at least in my STI, I had Blackstone looking at the oil and directing me when to change it.

yeah, but he asked about auto-x. assuming all day, he might get 8 runs in of a minute and change each. :rolllaugh:

I make no changes in my oil change schedule for autox.

I suppose it's not that bad.
The car's basically accelerating/decelerating between 20mph and 50 mph. Usually in 2nd gear.
The only thing that's getting worked hard are the tyres with all the sharp turns.

I'll probably do 1ce a month on average while it's nice out (maybe 2x). And I might pay for 2 groups since if I'm gonna be there all day, I'd like to spend more time driving and less standing around.
... Although, 'shooting the shit' has some entertainment value ...

Yes it does. You're wasting money and oil changing it that often.
Modern motor oil is amazing chemistry and holds up a lot better than most people think.

I put basically 18'000 DD miles on my car before I did anything other than drive it A to B.
I think it's decently broken in, and I shouldn't have excessive wear when pushed - at least not close to the kind that a 0 mile engine would...

P.S.

The flappy paddles are boring as sin to DD... no stick really kills the entertainment value of the day to day drive.

BUT

It's pretty sweet being able to seamlessly alternate between 1st and 2nd.
If I had done autox with a stick, I would have just left it in 2nd and called it a day (so little time to take advantage).

(Only miff is when the trans decides that it doesn't feel like shifting, and I have to repeat the command. Really distracting.)

The only thing that makes the DCT fun in day-to-day driving is the throttle blip on downshift.
My new exhaust is too damn loud but the sound of the throttle blip as I come to a stop is :banana2:

At the 'Ring I love love LOVE the DCT. I can concentrate on driving and keep both hands on the wheel. :pimp:

Same. AutoX doesn't subject my engine to anything I wouldn't do normally. I follow the adverse driving conditions schedule with 5K change intervals.
