Damn Good Deal

I do wish they had used DDR3 and more than one PCIe-16 slot, but other than that, it's an awesome machine!
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33 GHz processor
750GB hard drive space
Hauppauge ATSC/NTSC TV tuner card with FM tuner
802.11 a/b/g/n PCI Express x1 wireless card
10/100/1000 NIC
8 GB of DDR2 SDRAM (I do wish this was DDR3)
CF, SD, MMC, MD, MS, SM and xD flash cards via its front panel 15-in-1 memory card reader
DVD-RW DL drive with LightScribe
GeForce 9500 GS (512 MB GDDR2)
Integrated High Definition audio (Realtek ALC 888S chipset, supports up to 8 audio channels)

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

HP in particular has reeely been on the gangster pricing tip for a minute now... it's like they're pitching themselves as the anti-apple.

I'm all for it. They've put together decent product for a while. Here's hoping this pricing pays off for them.

(they're also one of the only "big" manus that is experimenting at all. We need this to continue.

Agreed, lately they have seemed to been coming around. I was never a fan of HP/Compaq/PackardBell etc., but my opinion of them seems to be changing. I've been very happy with my laptop thus far from HP.

The SuperDome servers are one of the few machines running the Itanium processors... and they are beasts.
